For whatever reason you do belly button piercing , you need to observe hygiene to avoid subjecting yourself to any health risk. Since it may be hard to do it yourself you need to have your personal body piercer who you can trust with your body. However, remember that to pierce any part of your body particularly the tummy, you need to know people who can do it professionally.
It is advisable to have it done at a health clinic. Some women think that having their colleagues pierce them, with a piercing gun under their instructions, is the best way to go it. But what if they do it wrong? What’s more, piercing guns are not recommended for piercing any part of the body, unless there is a qualified medical practitioner around.
To avoid emergency situations, it is important to do it from a clinic because that is where all healthy measures will be applied with advice on how to take care of your pierce.
Note that the type of belly button rings you use matters a lot. There are rings that may look good on you but cause harm to your tummy in the long run. Remember that pierced bellies take longer to heal than other parts of the body, so avoid wearing belly rings before your pierce completely heals.
Be careful with the kind of jewelry you buy because some have components that are not good for sensitive parts of the body especially the tummy. Some ring types can cause severe bleeding and even damage nerves.
